Lightspeed Loyalty allows your customers to collect Loyalty points based on the total amount of their purchases. The rate at which your customers accumulate points is configurable in the Loyalty Manager. However, by default the rate is set at one dollar spent = one Loyalty point earned. Customers can collect points after they’ve been linked to a receipt in one of two ways. You can either scan their “Collect Points” QR code or manually enter their phone number into the Loyalty popup.
Awarding points to customers
- From the Payments screen in Restaurant POS, tap the Loyalty payment type.
- Scan the customer’s QR code.
- On the Loyalty Options screen, tap Collect Points or Done.
- The Payments screen will now show that a “Loyalty Check In” has occurred.
- Process a payment and finalize the order.
NOTE: Once a customer has been linked to a receipt, it is not possible to remove them. In the event of an error, void the receipt and restart the order.
- From the Payments screen in Restaurant POS, tap the Loyalty payment type.
- Tap Use Phone Number in the top-right.
- Enter the customer’s phone number.
- Tap Create for a new customer or Continue for a returning one. Returning customers’ phone numbers will automatically be recognized.
- On the Loyalty Options screen, tap Collect Points or Done.
- The Payments screen will now show that a “Loyalty Check In” has occurred.
- Process a payment and finalize the order.
NOTE: Once a Loyalty account has been linked to a receipt, it is not possible to remove it. In the event of a mistake, void the receipt and restart the order.
