Creating and Editing customers

Customer profiles can be easily created and edited while on-the-go in Restaurant POS.

Add customers in your system to:

  • Add credit to their account
  • Charge orders to their tab
  • Track a customer’s visit and payment history, favorite products and reservation information
  • Assign them to tables and/or orders

NOTE: While customers can be created in Restaurant POS, they can only be deleted in Restaurant Manager.

Creating/editing a customer unaffiliated with an order

To create or edit a customer who's not affiliated with an order, use the Extra menu on the Tables screen.

  1. From the Floor screen in Restaurant POS, tap Extra.
  2. Tap Customers from the drop-down menu.
  3. Tap New to create a customer.

    OR

    Select an existing customer and tap Edit.

  4. Enter the customer information. 
  5. Tap Save

Creating/editing a customer with an order

From within an existing order in Restaurant POS, you can create or edit a customer and affiliate them with the order.

NOTE: In order to be able to access customer profiles from the Order screen, you need to have either the Shortcut bar or the Show customer icon setting enabled in your Device Settings.

  1. In Restaurant POS, open the Order screen for the table.  
  2. Tap the Customer button.

    NOTE: If a customer is already assigned to the order, tap Edit and skip to step 4.

  3. Tap New to create a customer.

    OR

    Select an existing customer and tap Edit.

  4. Enter or edit the customer information.
  5. Tap Save.
  6. Tap Confirm to exit the Customer popup and return to the Order screen.
