About WEB-SRM and L-Series (Quebec)

By June 1, 2025, existing Lightspeed Restaurant L-Series merchants in Quebec must switch to a POS system that supports WEB-SRM (FR: MEV-Web) and implement WEB-SRM in their business. Upgrade to our compliant POS platform, K-Series, to take your first step in adhering to Revenu Québec’s fiscal requirements.

L-Series businesses that do not implement WEB-SRM by June 1, 2025 risk incurring fines and other penalties. For full details on regulatory requirements, visit Revenu Québec’s website.

What is WEB-SRM?

WEB-SRM (FR: MEV-Web) is a cloud-based Sales Recording Module (SRM) that records and transmits sales data from restaurants and bars to Revenu Québec for fiscal compliance. In 2022, the Quebec government announced a mandatory shift away from physical SRMs to WEB-SRM.

Lightspeed Restaurant L-Series does not support WEB-SRM, so you must switch your POS system in order to implement it. We offer a WEB-SRM certified platform, K-Series, that will help you remain fiscally compliant and grow your business.

Implementing WEB-SRM

In order to activate WEB-SRM, you will first need to contact Revenu Québec to request your establishment number and access code. When you have that information, you can enable WEB-SRM in your K-Series Back Office.
