Before you create menus in the Lightspeed Delivery dashboard, ensure that you have synced products. To sync products, go to Locations, select the desired location and click Sync Products. See Setting up Lightspeed Delivery for more information.
Note: Deliveroo and Takeaway.com do not support a menu push. Products must be added with the help of their support teams. See Deliveroo and Takeaway.com for more information.
To add a new menu:
- In the Lightspeed Delivery dashboard, click Menus
.
- Click Add New Menu.
- Enter a Menu Name and click Create New Menu.
- Click on the new menu to open its options.
Managing products
Create delivery menus using products pulled from Lightspeed Restaurant. Create new products or edit existing ones. To return to an existing product, select the Location and Channel you added it to from the drop-down menus.
To add categories and products:
- From the Menus screen, select a menu and click Manage Products.
- On the Products screen, select the desired Location and Channel for the menu from the drop-down menus. It is recommended to add products to All Locations and All Channels first and then configure specific location and channel menus later.
- To add a category, click Add New Category.
- In the Create New Category popup, enter a Category Name and click Create New Category.
- To add products to the category, select it, then click Add Products to Category.
- From the Add Products Category popup, click on a category from Lightspeed Restaurant.
- Select the products from within the category that you want to add to this delivery menu. To select all products, click Select All.
- To deselect a product, click on it under the Products to be added header. To deselect all products, click Deselect All.
- When you have selected all the products you want to add, click Add Products.
- To edit product details, click on a product. To add an image, click on the image placeholder, then copy and paste an image URL. Click on the Name to edit it. If you want to enter product names in multiple languages, it is recommended to enter them here (i.e.: Fries/Frites). It is also recommended that you only edit the price in the product details in Restaurant Manager. When you've made your desired edits, click Save Edits.
- To delete a product, click on it, then click the trash icon. A popup will appear asking you to confirm. Click Delete.
- To edit a category, click on it and click the pencil icon.
- To make a product invisible on a menu, click the eye icon. The eye icon will turn green.
- To preview the menu at any time, click Preview Menu.
Managing modifiers
Create new modifiers or edit existing ones. To return to an existing modifier group, select the Location and Channel you added it to from the drop-down menus.
- From the Menus screen, select a menu and click Manage Modifiers.
- On the Modifiers screen, select the desired Location and Channel for the modifiers from the drop-down menus. To add to all locations, select All Locations. To add to all channels, select All Channels.
- To add a modifier group, click Add New Modifier Group.
- In the Add Modifier Groups popup, select the groups you want to add, then click Add Modifier Groups.
- To add modifiers to a modifier group, select it, then click Add New Modifier.
- Select the modifiers you want to add and click Add Modifiers.
- To edit modifier details, click on a modifier. Click on the name or price of the modifier to edit it. When you've made your desired edits, click Save Edits.
- To delete a modifier or modifier group, click on it, then click the trash icon. A popup will appear asking you to confirm. Click Delete.
- To edit a modifier group, click on it and click the pencil icon. Edit the Modifier Group Name. Adjust the Modifier Group Min or Max to set the minimum number of modifiers that must be selected and the maximum number that can be selected.
- To make a modifier invisible on a menu, click the eye icon. The eye icon will turn green.
- To preview the menu at any time, click Preview Menu.
Managing availability
To set a timeframe for when your delivery menu will be available:
- From the Menus screen, select a menu and click Manage Availability.
- Click Add New Availability.
- In the Create New Menu Availability popup, click the drop-down menu and select a location.
- Drag your cursor vertically on the calendar to set the availability timeframe for your menu.
- Drag timeframe blocks horizontally to copy them over to other days of the week.
Pushing menus live
Once you have created, edited and previewed your delivery menus, you can push them live to the delivery service portal.
To push menus live:
- In the dashboard, click Menus
.
- Click the Push Menus Live button.
- In the Push Menus Live popup, click on the drop-down menu and select the menu you want to push live.
- Select the delivery channel you want to push the menu to.
- Click Push Menus Live.
Cascaded Products
Turn on Cascaded Products to see products that have been added to All Locations and All Channels alongside products particular to specific locations and channels.
To turn on Cascaded Products:
- On the Menus screen, click the toggle button labelled Cascaded Products.
Editing info
To edit the name of a delivery menu:
- From the Menus screen, select a menu and click Edit Info.
- In the Edit Menu popup, edit the name of the menu and click Save Edits.
